Maya M Rodgers is a California native. Her influences include Willem de Kooning, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Pablo Picasso and Jim Henson. Use of color and bold shapes envelope her paintings meaning an creation.

Growing up, Maya always felt out of place. With the strong influence of her Mother and her Nana Barbara, She began her quest to learn, create and evolve without fear.

Maya met her husband, Jason, through a friend while at California State University, Long Beach. Jason and Maya embark on a creative journey of love and art every day they can. It has been a year since her Breast Cancer diagnosis and her paintings have evolved through her new stage of life. Maya looks forward to expressing all that is her with a new show in November 2022.
